We are lean, focused, and growing rapidly — and we’re looking for a driven Platform Partnerships / BD Manager to accelerate demand-side growth.

The role

This role owns and scales FloorFound’s demand-side ecosystem and supports supplier-side business development. You will drive partnerships, direct sales, and ensure inventory flows efficiently through our marketplace channels. This is a hands-on, entrepreneurial role, ideal for someone motivated by building a book of business from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

Partnership Development

  • Identify, secure, and scale partnerships with buyer platforms, including flippers, designers, stagers, FF&E buyers, hospitality/multifamily groups, and other bulk buyers.
  • Build and manage a recurring portfolio of partners to absorb inventory at scale.
  • Develop and execute strategic partnership plans to drive long-term revenue growth

Direct Sales & Transaction Facilitation

  • Act as a sales agent for FloorFound’s returned and recovered inventory (loads, units, bulk).
  • Match supply from retailers/brands with demand from buyers; negotiate deals and facilitate transactions.
  • Collaborate with operations and product teams to ensure smooth, compliant, and timely execution.

Market & Competitive Intelligence

  • Track buyer trends, demand-side needs, and competitive channels.
  • Use insights to inform pricing, inventory allocation, and partnership prioritization.
  • Develop repeatable processes and playbooks for scaling demand-side sales.

Relationship Management

  • Own and nurture strategic buyer accounts to drive long-term revenue and repeat business.
  • Ensure high buyer satisfaction through smooth, repeatable transactions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Reporting

  • Work with engineering, operations, and product teams to improve platform capabilities and partner experience.
  • Track and report key performance metrics (GMV, inventory onboarded, partner engagement).

Experience

  • 3–5 years in B2B marketplace, resale, or logistics-heavy business development/partnerships.
  • Proven track record of building and scaling partnerships, ideally with supply-side onboarding and marketplace dynamics.
  • Comfortable with technical platform concepts, including API integrations, SaaS/transactional monetization, and operational workflows.
  • Experience managing partner onboarding, enablement, and performance metrics.
  • Strong analytical skills, able to identify high-impact partners and optimize performance.
  • Excellent relationship management, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, lean startup environment with autonomy.

Success Metrics / KPIs

  • Competitive pay and performance-based bonuses.

  • Supply/inventory value onboarded — total value of inventory added to the platform.
  • Volume of loads and units sold — number and value of transactions completed.
  • New demand-side partnerships established — quantity and strategic quality of buyers onboarded.
  • Retention and repeat purchase rate — percentage of buyers making multiple transactions.
  • Partner satisfaction / enablement — feedback and smoothness of onboarding/transactions.
  • Time-to-live for new partner activations — speed from onboarding to first transaction.
